How to use Sligo GAA Live Scores

For supporters

No account needed — every score, table and fixture is public.

1. Live page

   The home page lists every match currently in play with the running clock and score. Tap a match to open the full live view.

2. Match view

   The scoreboard shows both crests, the goal-point tally with total in brackets, the match clock and the status (Live, Half Time, Full Time). Below it you get the lead, scoring breakdown, top scorers and a minute-by-minute timeline of scores, cards and substitutions.

3. Updates are automatic

   Scores and the clock update themselves as the official records them — no need to refresh. The clock is anchored to the server, so every phone shows the same minute.

4. Fixtures, Results and Table

   Fixtures lists upcoming games with venue, time and referee. Results groups completed games by date, newest first. Table shows championship standings, filterable by competition and group.

5. Grounds

   Grounds gives directions, parking notes and a maps link for every club pitch, handy before travelling to a game.

For officials: running and scoring a match

Officials sign in to create fixtures, manage squads and control the live scoreboard.

1. 1. Sign in

   Use Official sign in in the header. Once an admin grants you the official role, the Clubs, Teams and New match options appear in the menu.

2. 2. Set up clubs and teams

   Open Clubs to add a club, its crest and its colours. Each club holds its teams (Senior, Intermediate, Minor, U20 and so on), so a club page shows every team and their latest results in one place.

3. 3. Build the squad

   From Teams, open a team to manage its squad. Add each player once with a name; jersey numbers are handled per match, so nothing is locked in.

4. 4. Pick the team sheet

   On the team page, use the pitch formation view to place your starting fifteen in position order (1 in goal through to 15) and list the substitutes. You are prompted for the number a player wears, so numbering can change from game to game.

5. 5. Add a fixture

   Use New match. Choose football or hurling, the two teams, competition, venue, throw-in time and referee. The fixture appears immediately on the Fixtures page and in the fixture lists of both clubs.

6. 6. Score the match live

   Open the match and tap Control match. Press Start to begin the clock (it also moves the match to Live), then record scores by picking the team, the player and the score type — goal, point, two-pointer or free. Every entry is timestamped to the current minute and pushed to supporters instantly.

7. 7. Cards, subs and periods

   Log yellow, black and red cards and substitutions from the same screen. Use Half time to freeze the clock at the break, Start again for the second half, and Full time to close the game out.

8. 8. Fix mistakes

   Undo removes the last event, and any entry can be deleted from the timeline. The score, top scorers and league table all recalculate automatically.

For admins: permissions

Admins control who can score matches and keep a record of every change.

1. Roles

   Admin lets you search users and grant or remove the official and admin roles. New sign-ups start as spectators and can only view.

2. Audit trail

   Every role change is recorded with who changed it, for whom and when, so permission changes stay accountable.

3. Deleting matches

   Admins can delete a match from the control screen. This removes its events and updates results and standings, so it is confirmed first.

Common questions

My clock looks different to someone else's

It shouldn't — the clock is calculated from the server time the official started it, and each device re-syncs with the server every couple of minutes. If a screen was asleep it re-checks as soon as you return to it.

How are GAA scores shown?

As the usual goals-points tally with the point total in brackets, for example 1-08 (11). Two-pointers are counted correctly in both the tally and the total.

I signed in but can't score a match

Scoring needs the official role. Ask a club admin to grant it on the Admin screen, then sign out and back in.

A score was recorded wrongly

The official can undo the last event or delete any entry from the timeline; scores, top scorers and the table update straight away.
